About Us

“And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.”  –  Isaiah 58:10

DUO58 Catering was founded in 2010 by UCF graduate, Nathan Seta. From the beginning, DUO58 sought to bring generosity and social impact into the culinary and hospitality world. Since our beginning, we have accomplished this by partnering with Mission of Hope, a nonprofit bringing life transformation to every man, woman, and child in Haiti. For every meal you enjoy from DUO58’s catering service, a meal is provided for a child in Haiti.

In 2015, DUO58 Cafe opened, expanding our capacity to provide hope through healthy food service and workforce programs. The cafe is a place where our customers connect with, and contribute toward bringing hope to their community and around the world.

DUO58 aims to provide hope to our local community, and the world, through nonprofit partnerships, workforce programs, healthy food service and social enterprise.

JOBS PROGRAM
MISSION OF HOPE: HAITI
COMMUNITY CONNECTION

Our cafe is the main vehicle behind DUO58’s jobs program. The 8 to 12 month program seeks to provide life and jobs skills to those who are having trouble finding or maintaining employment through part-time work at the cafe. Our goal is for this to be a stepping stone for a future career, whether that is with us or somewhere else.

As an organization following Jesus Christ, Mission of Hope exists to bring life transformation to every man, woman, and child in Haiti. Their desire is to serve the nation of Haiti, and see lives changed. They desire to see the hopeless find hope through Jesus Christ, and empower future generations through education to bring their country out of poverty.

Our desire for the space we’ve created is to be a central gathering place for East Orlando. Our cafe can be rented for community events, meeting space and parties.

Looking to start a food business? Whether you want to sell cookies or kombucha, we operate a full service, cooperative kitchen that’s licensed with the state of Florida. To learn more about kitchen rentals, visit the commissary website.
